VERTICALLY

On a shower wall or in the interior or a tub or sink.

NOTE: Position the wider portion facing down. The two rails should be vertical.

HORIZONTALLY

On a shelf, on the edge of a tub or sink, the flat bottom of a sink, or even in a soap dish.

NOTE: Drips will not go down the drain when installed horizontally.

PROCEDURE:

Select a smooth tile, porcelin, stone or fiberglass, flat surface with no grout.

Avoid areas that collect water or those in the direct flow of a shower.

Then clean the surface with alcohol and dry well.

Remove 3M backing from SoapAnchor and FIRMLY press on to surface.

Allow 8 hours to cure.

DO NOT mount SoapAnchor within reach of small children.

Not recommended for wood or painted surfaces.

Mount above shoulder level on vertical installations

To avoid accidental contact, install Soapanchor above shoulder level or in a recessed area of the wall

Position SoapAnchor so it's within easy reach, think left and right handedness.

For optimal visual effect - position on the wall where it is viewed from the front. The soap bar will make SoapAnchor vanish from sight.

Shower shelves are suitable, provided they are not continuously exposed to standing soapy water.

NOTE: Drips will not go down the drain when SoapAnchor is installed on a horizontal surface.

On a sink, the preferred installation is a vertical inside wall. It may be curved or straight. The bar and soapy water on your hands will never leave the interior of the sink.

Install anywhere in tub interior where there is no bodily contact.

Some bathers have even applied SoapAnchor to the spout of their bathtub. (see Instagram)

NOTE: When children are using the tub, avoid using SoapAnchor. Prevent accidental contact by pressing a spare piece of soap on the device.

Press the sightly moistened bar squarely on all four posts.

If the bar is hard-milled and dry, it should be slightly pre-moistened.

The the bar may be oriented vertically, horizontally, or diagonally upon the SoapAnchor surface. 

Small scraps can be mounted using 2 or 3 of the posts.

The wall was probably not completely cleaned of invisible soap scum.

Use alcohol to clean the area where you want to install the device, dry with a cloth, orient the device so that its lower portion projects outward, remove the 3M paper backing, and press the device firmly on the clean and dry shower wall or sink interior. Wait 8 hours before pressing a moist bar against the device’s surface.

The device was installed on a grouted area between tiles.

If SoapAnchor is bathed in a steady shower stream, or mounted on a constantly wet shelf; the adhesive will eventually fail.

There could be several reasons:

The bar surface is wet and soft from sitting in a soap dish or on a shelf... too soft to take hold on the posts.   For best performance, START WITH A NEW DRY BAR.. Thereafter, PARK THE BAR ON THE SOAPANCHOR ONLY, AND NO OTHER SURFACE.  This will prevent the bar's surface from ever getting water-logged and too soft to hold its grip. .

The logo on the bar is deeply embossed, and the bar's surface is not smooth. This is seen with Dove bar upon which the logo is deeply indented. Solution is to mount on pins... avoiding the logo - as the bar is used, the surface will flatten and SoapAnchor will performed as designed.

The bar is larger than standard bath size. Too heavy.

The bar was new and very dry, perhaps of a "hard milled" variety. New bars might need to be moistened to slightly soften before pressing against the device.

The bar was not squarely pressed against all four posts. The bar should make direct contact with the outer surface of the two projecting rails.

The concave side of the bar was facing outward instead of inward and all four posts did not penetrate

The device was not mounted properly to begin with; perhaps upside down or sideways.  The projecting portion of the device should be facing downwards.  The rails should be vertical.

Yes, but DO NOT USE YOUR BARE HAND. Grasp the SoapAnchor with a heavy towel or a pliers. Twist firmly in a circular direction. If your bare hand is used, the force required to detach the device may cause your hand to slip off and cause injury from the metal pins. To relocate in another area, remove the residual gray tape by rubbing with a dry cloth. Reapply a fresh 2-faced adhesive square and relocate or re-mount.

Yes. In fact one of SoapAnchor’s great virtues is the ability to handle small scraps and mini-hotel sized bars. The ones that fall through the spaces on wire frame baskets, and dissolve to oblivion within minutes in a traditional dish. If the fragment is too small for penetration with all four posts, penetration with 2 or 3 posts is sufficient.

For best results:

Apply above shoulder level on shower wall to avoid accidental contact.

Do not install within reach of children.

On bathtub installations, when children use tub, cover the posts with a spare piece of soap to prevent accidental contact. OR use our interlocking squares.

The adhesive might damage wood or painted surfaces when removal is attempted.

Horizontal surfaces are suitable, provided they are not subjected to standing water. Prolonged moisture might cause the adhesive to eventually fail.

Unlike traditional soap holders that orient the bar horizontally, SoapAnchor is designed to be oriented vertically. In that position, the water drains from BOTH sides of the bar, and the drippings from your hand and the bar, do not drop on to a horizontal surface below. 

A generous space is created around the entire bar, exposing 97% of it to freely circulating air.  Structurally, there is simply no place on the bar (or on the SoapAnchor) for standing water to collect and cause surface degradation. The bar is often dry in less than an hour, it stays super clean, it's easier to grab hold, and lasts a whole lot longer!

When the bar is placed on a horizontal surface, its wet bottom comes in contact with the surface beneath. Soap "spacers" and soap "savers" are commonly used to lift the bar up and above the wet surface.

However, a significant amount of soapy water is carried with your hand. And the drippings from your hand, and the bar, will always collect beneath the bar. They will collect on the soap-saver itself or the surface beneath the soap-saver

Because SoapAnchor holds the bar and holder vertically on the shower or sink wall, there is only one place for the drippings to go -- directly down the drain.
